A Word from the Founder and President

The idea for designing my own workplace violence training came about several years ago while I was working as a police chief. In addition to my law enforcement duties I served as Emergency Management Coordinator and held a position on the Executive Committee of a Threat Assessment Team.

After several minor incidents of acting out behavior took place on campus I implemented a workplace violence awareness training program. My research lead to dozens of training resources and it soon became clear that site specific, job specific training was simply not available. Programs seemed to use a broad brush approach and often weren't cost effective.

Thus, the foundations for EdSecure, LLC were laid as I designed and implemented my own workplace violence awareness training. Using input from interviews with supervisors and line staff I created programs and assessments of competency for individual work sites. The same care and attention to detail is now given to every client of EdSecure, LLC..
